TECC Services currently provides the following training and workshops related to clinical and managerial supervision for supervisors and supervisees at our Centre in Birmingham. 

  • Supervision Skill Introduction for Supervisors - 1 day
  • Developing Effective Supervision - 1 day (for counselling supervisors) & (supervisors in the workplace)
  • Reflective Pratice & Supervision for Supervisees - 4 hours
  • Supervision Training - 10 week blended programmes

Supervision Skills Introduction for Supervisors – 1 day

TECC’s 1-day Supervision Skills Introduction training course provides an introduction to staff supervision and consideration, which may be, required during the transition to this role within the workplace. TECC recognises the transitional period may alter the dynamics within an organisation and actively seeks to demonstrate how obstacles and barriers to effective supervision can be overcome. Our supervision skills introduction encompasses all of the essential elements of supervision and line management , providing valuable guidance and support.

Individuals attending our training will gain understanding of the multitude of expectations associated with supervising staff in the workplace. Practical activities and group discussions will provide valuable learning opportunities for individuasl to practice key skills associated with constructive supervision. 

Upon completion of the training delegates will receive additional resources and literature to support learning.

 
       
                                                     Developing Effective Supervision - 1 day

TECC's developing effective supervision training is for those currently either a clinical or managerial supervisor within their job role. Training aims to build upon current knowledge, demonstrate and reflect upon the positive qualities and attributes a supervisor requires, and opportunity to experience creative approaches which actively engage and maintain the supervisory alliance.
 

 Our training includes:

  • Barriers to supervision practice
  • Self awareness
  • Introduction to reflective practice
  • Professional responsibility and accountability identify areas
  • Data Protection, confidentiality and the law
  • Identify best practice and models of supervision
  • Legislation, regulation and guidelines
  • Ethics and moral guidelines
  • Documentation relating to supervision theory and practice
  • Creative approach to supervising supervisees
  • Accurate recording and reporting procedures
  • Supervisor skills practice and activities
  • Demonstrate key elementsin relation to personal performance and practical
The training is provided in a friendly, informative and supportive environment at our Centre in Birmingham. The written activities and practical creative exercises provide consistent opportunities to promote confidence and competence, enabling the training to be evaluated and evidenced.

TECC provides regular booster sessions and group supervision practice in relation to our developing effective supervision training. Delegates will receive detailed literature and additional resources to further support and promote the effective use of supervision. Additional support in relation to policy and procedure can be provided upon request for companies and organisations.


                                          Reflective Practice & Supervision for Supervisees - 4 hours 

Our 4 hour workshop is for those who attend either managerial or clinical counselling supervision. The aim of the training is to increase confidence and competence in relation to attending supervision prepared, managing time efficiently and effectively.

  • Conceptualisation of case material
  • Analytical skills
  • Creative approaches to supervision

  • Data Protection, confidentiality and the law
  • Supervisee skills practice and activities
  • Personal and professional strengths and weaknesses
