                                     Fire Safety & Evacuation Awareness 

TECC's Fire Safety Awareness training in Birmingham is aimed at those in the workplace who must receive appropriate fire safety instruction in line with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, enforced October 2006. All employees must be provided with appropriate, information, instruction and training when they start and periodically for the duration of their employment to ensure they are fully aware of basic fire safety and evacuation procedures in the workplace.

Our training includes:

  • Introduction to basic legislation
  • Fire triangle
  • Cause and spread of fire
  • Risk assessment
  • Prevention and control
  • Fire fighting equipment and signs
  • Fire evacuation procedures
  • Use of fire extinguishers
  • Roles and responsibilities
  • Practical exercises

Delegates are able to gain a deeper level of understanding in relation to fire safety awareness and evacuation procedures in a relaxed and supported environment. Practical group exercises, activities and discussions provide the opportunity to gain confidence and competence which actively works to safeguard practice in line with current legal and professional guidance/standards and provides evidence of achievement.

Delegates comple
te the training with both a practical and written exercise demonstrating their knowledge and competence and are provided with handouts and a Fire Safety manual.
