End Of Life Care in Birmingham - 1 or 1/2 day

Welcome to TECC's End of Life Care Training 

Our end of life care workshop in Birmingham is aimed at those in the health and social care sector, it is suitable for residential and domiciliary settings for both staff and managers. Our care planning provision is designed to be a helpful resource to support the review and evaluation of existing care plans in line and according to the Health & Social Care regulations and guidance.

Our workshop covers:
  • End of life care awareness (care of the dying)
  • Integrity, resilience and respect
  • Effective communication
  • Key principles of empathic communication 
  • Palliative care
  • Person centred care planning
Upon completion of the workshop delegates will be aware of the roles and responsibilities associated with end of life caring, awareness of effective, empathic communication, regulation and guidelines to promote best practice and insight into the care planning benefits for those in need of services.

In additon to our half day training we also provide a one day training course which includes in the syllabus of our half day course as well as: resilience, vicarious trauma and stress management and wellbeing. We recognise it is crucial for individuals to be able to explore the impact their job role has upon them both personally and professionaly. Delegates are able to familarise themselves with the signs of symptoms of stress, indicators of vicarious trauma and strategies to access in the event their work/life balance becomes interrupted. 

The training is provided in a friendly, informative and supportive environment at our centre in Birmingham. The written activities and practical 
creative exercises provide consistent opportunities to promote confidence and competence, enabling the training to be evaluated and evidenced. Delegates will receive detailed literature and additional resources to further support and promote the development of end of life care. Additional therapeutic support can be provided to staff who are experiencing difficulty within their work related to end of life care. 

Additional support in relation to policy and procedures can be provided upon request for companies and organisations.
