(Person Centred Care, Activity Planning & Therapy in Birmingham)


TECC Services provides dementia awareness training, person centred care and activity planning and reminiscence therapy for individuals in the social care sector and those caring for an individual with dementia or memory problems. TECC's workshops enable delegates to gain a deeper level of understanding in relation to dementia, and the impact on individuals, including, the familial, wider context and concepts associated.

Delegates will be aware and informed of best practice procedures, legislation and current guidelines. Delegates will  have the opportunity to gain practical skills and concepts in relation to active person centred care planning and activities, along with an understanding of the effects of dementia upon the individual, family and those caring for them.

Our reminiscence therapy workshop provides the opportunity to learn about reminiscence therapy and how it can be applied in your role as a carer. Delegates will have the opportunity to engage in creative, practical activities and exercises which can be used for the therapeutic benefit of the individual/s.
 
Both of our workshops provide an opportunity for delegates to feel informed and confident whilst demonstrating mindful awareness of promoting independence, dignity and maintaining functioning along with current legislation and regulations, in line with the Care Quality Commission, National Minimum Standards, Department for Health, National Institute for Health and Care Excellence and additional guidance.

The training is provided in a friendly, informative and supportive environment at our centre in Birmingham, alternatively, it can be provided at a location for your convenience. The written activities and practical exercises provide consistent opportunities to promote confidence and competence, enabling the training to be evaluated and evidenced. Delegates will receive detailed literature and additional resources to further support and promote learning.
