We are aware taking the first step may feel daunting. We hope when you do take this step, we can support you in putting the pieces back together by, gaining a deeper level of understanding of yourself in a environment which feels protected at our Centre in Birmingham. We will offer you a compassionate, empathic, non-judgemental space to be actually listened to and understood. You will not be alone; we will be with you each step of the way. We will create a secure foundation to explore from which will enable you to feel confident in the knowledge that the relationship is both stable and secure. The co-created space adds the assurity often required to open up and gain an experienced sense of acceptance.

We will not say we understand when we don’t, we will work with you so we can empathise with you and learn to understand by exploring how experiences or thoughts, past or present, are having an impact on you. We want you to experience how honesty and integrity are significant aspects of our practice. We will not make judgement or interpret your experiences; we want to empathise and explore ways you can find your own way.

Once you have made contact we can provide a free consultation/assessment appointment to discuss how we may be able to assist you, this provides you with the opportunity to see how you feel, allowing you to make an informed decision to engage in therapy if you are comfortable and assured by our meeting.

We offer a range of therapeutic approaches to counselling, which includes, person centred , gestalt, cognitive behaviour, psychodynamic, attachment focused and creative therapy such as art, clay, play and animal assisted therapy. 


                                                            Brief overview of approaches we use:

  • CBT - Cognitive Behaviour Therapy is a short-term therapy aimed at exploring the links between thoughts, feelings and behaviours and the negative cycle, which maintains your distress.
  • Person Centred Therapy is an approach to therapy that is non-directive, meaning the therapy is client led.
  • Gestalt Therapy is an wholistic approach which focus’s on the here and now experiences with the aim of improving self awareness and promoting autonomy.
  • Psychodynamic therapy is longer-term approach which focus’s on exploring and understanding how your past is influencing you now.
  • Integrative therapy is an approach that incorporates different theoretical aspects of compatible and appropriate theories in order to develop a therapeutic approach conducive to your needs.                       

Referrals are accepted from private individuals, couples, groups and families, including referrals made by GP’s, Local Authorities, Residential Homes, Psychologists and Organisations.
